I like the smell of this, too. It took another day for me to realize it was the sunscreen because I seriously never have an issue with products causing a breakout - I never check for oil-free or non-comedogenic products because my skin is so dry and generally loves oils and thick moisturizing ingredients. Some like to go as au naturel as possible. However, upon looking up the ingredients, the coconut alkanes came up as highly comedogenic which makes sense since coconut oil will break me out if I use it on my face. It's not irritating to my sensitive skin so that's good. This is hands down the best mineral sunscreen I've ever tried, and I've tried them all. I couldn't believe it. If product is swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. I'm so frustrated trying to get the sunscreen out of the bottle and can only get very little before giving up. It was so bad, that I wound up purchasing other sunscreen at my destination and leaving this behind because it wasn't worth trying to fit it back into my liquids bag. I was initially on the fence about purchasing this product but so glad I did. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. The fragrance was also very overwhelming. I would never buy this again. This breakout was ALL over my face indicating it was a product reaction. Wears nicely under makeup. It also had a much more matte finish which means if there was a cast, it was more translucent than the dewy finish of Biossance. Yes this can leave a white cast but I don't care. I could tell immediately that this was going to happen because of the consistency of the product. I think this would work better for someone who doesn't have dry skin, though the initial greasy texture might not appeal to those with oily skin either. The formula is a type that will leave a white cast if you don't rub it in enough and it is scented (I don't find it objectionable but others may), yet the scent dissipates but the sunscreen stays put, with low transfer and without making skin feel greasy or dried out. It's rectangular, hard plastic that is not squeezable. It does rub in well though and the only place I feel like it's noticeable is my legs. The cast disappears super quickly when you rub it in (in seconds, not minutes), it feels hydrating and stays ever so slightly tacky (which I love because it doesn't feel like my skin is tightening and acts as a primer for makeup), and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes and skins (I can only use mineral sunscreens around my eyes because they are so sensitive). My skin also looks pretty shiny and a little bit oily but once fully absorbed, it's not so bad. And even then, it's never more than 1 or 2 zits. It's not very moisturizing so if you have dry skin like me, you will need a moisturizer underneath. It smells good too. The one exception is zinc oxide (the white stuff lifeguards put on their nose) as it is mineral based. I am 31 and realizing the need to be more serious about wearing sunscreen every day (especially on my face). Reapply: After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating.
