I see that SuperDeck has very poor reviews on your site and the Cabot ATO is also reviewed as doing very poorly in the winter and snow which is something we have experienced first hand. Prior to and post to the semi-solid stain, I used Cabots Australian Timber Oil. It is best to use a penetrating oil stain that will soak into the wood pores to give a mahogany deck the best protection possible. We want to just bring out the natural tone of the wood. The wood is so hard it breaks screws as it warps in the sun (not so much anymore but when it was first installed.). It looked really rich when we bought the home but of course now its faded and needs to be redone. Got lucky when I sanded my mahogany porch with 80 grit and didnt use any other grit although I had them . This product was also recommended by an IPE expert web site. It has been stripped, cleaned and brightened. The color variations in the pre stained wood look better but Im not sure if thats just because its already stained. THANKS.
